The Open Data 500, funded by the Knight Foundation and conducted by the GovLab, is the first comprehensive study of U.S. companies that use open government data to generate new business and develop new products and services.
This pre-launch version of the Open Data 500 presents a working list of companies for public comment. Based on feedback, further research, and company input, the GovLab will publish a final list and analysis of the results in mid-2014.
